Wacko on Wednesday and a Question

Meja came in from her last potty break last night, went to bed then got up about a half hour later and was holding up one of her back legs like it was broken.  I thought 'wtf she's not old like me, she can't get injured in bed!!!'  Now you must know that SharPei are very stoic dogs (Meja once had two stitches put back in her eyelids without anesthetic!) so it would take a lot for her to indicate pain.  So I felt every bit of the leg, hip, butt, everything (I was pretty aggressive too because of this martyr thing with these guys) and no ouchie, no flinch, no nothin.  So I gave her a glucosamine and put her back to bed.

This morning she was fine!  The only thing I could think was perhaps she'd gotten the pad of her foot cold and was just being a pussy!  So my question to you dear internets is this:

Has anyone heard of spraying pups feet with Pam (not me the spray!) before they go out in the snow to prevent the snow from getting into the crevices and whatnot?  Any thoughts if this could be harmful?


Ok now on to Wacko Wednesday

Bobo is a known sniff and charge felon.  He loves smells.  Hair stuff, body lotion, perfume, cologne, anything really.  If you've got it on and you're in proximity to him he'll bowl you over and rub you to death.  It's charming really unless we've never met you and you just happen to be visiting with another friend and we run out of chairs and you have to sit on the floor -- but I digress.

My scent has heretofore been immune to him.  Until the other day.  I'd changed deoderants and  OH.MY.GOD.  I sat down on the floor with him and you'd have thought he'd died and gone straight to heaven.  I couldn't get to my camera but could reach my phone.  This pic does not do the mayhem justice.  (he had actually knocked me over with his head butt/rub raw maneuver)

And just because she's cute!
