That aptly describes Meja.

As I was thinking this Meja jumped on the couch. She is all but undetected. Weighing in at 37# she is able to slooth herself onto the couch with the swiftest of feets.

She is also able to bitey her brothers head in a fight causing her momma to wonder if we should go get stitches ( no bother I superglued him, and not for the first time!)

Bobo on the other hand ANNOUNCES when he's in the room! All 70#'s of him. He's just a great big ole fun bag of doofus. And we loves him so.

These are the damn guinea birds that lead my babies astray the other night. Damn guinea birds!!!

This is the guinea birds story: Neighbors two houses over had these birds but they didn't get along with the chickens or something. So... they just kicked the guineas out the roost, just OUT. So they've come next door to our house to live. My next door neighbor went over to them and said 'your birds are out.' Stupid people said 'we know we kicked them out we don't want them anymore.' What the what??? We called animal control - fail, called humane society - fail, even called police - fail.

So the guineas are just loose on our property and drive my dogs NUTS.

They'll chase them until they're ragged. If I'm out with them that's usually fine but in the middle of the night = NO.

So now I have to go on guinea reconnaissance before I let them out. And Bobo and Meja, you just cross your legs in the middle of the night!!! mommy out

You know what's great about having black dogs at 3:00 a.m. and it's pitch black in the country?

Nothing

Those little buggers got me up and insisted they MUST go out RIGHT NOW! So out we went. I of course stayed on the deck, while they meandered all over the effing where.

I'd had enough and do you think I could find them in the dark? Oh nonee nonee no.

So here's me with my shiny red rain boots (which I love by the way) traipsing all over God's creation, at 3 freaking a.m.! I was too tired to go on much of a hunt so went back to the deck crying.

After about 10, yes 10!, minutes here they come like 'Oh what you were waitin up?'

Damn Guinea birds!

Hey Everybody

Gosh I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted! Things were pretty rough there for a minute but I think on track now.

I've been spending my energy assuring the pups are taken care of and me too of course. And frankly that's all I've been able to do. (Lordy you should see my house - OY) But hopefully that's behind us and I can get back to doing things I enjoy, like this blog and telling you about my babies.

They're good, getting a wee bit fat from not much exercise but good.

I'm going to close this for now but will post again tomorrow with pictures (of course I've still been taking pictures!)
