Can there be such a thing as too many carbs?

I feel like a slug.

You may not know this but it is hard to eat 150 grams of carbohydrates per day. And if you try there is no room for stuff I kind of like, God help me, fruit and vegetables. I've learned to love them.

I had such high hopes for these three days of carbs delicious carbs.

and I'm sick of them after a day and a half!

The best diet ever

For three days my doctor has put me on the best diet ever.

I am not kidding.

I have to take some sort of 2 hour glucose tolerance test on Monday and this weekend I can eat carbs, delicious carbs.

Dinner last night - pizza
Breakfast this morning - pizza

Oh.My.God I'd forgotten how much I love pizza. But what I really love is the crust. (pam doing the happy carb dance...)

I've been off simple carbs pretty much because I need all the energy I can get and 20 minutes after a carb meal I feel like crap. But not today baby. Oh no. I'm eatin em every 20 minutes so the let down doesn't happen. Oh yes I am.

I stopped at the store yesterday with a list and bought bread, cereal, carbs, carbs and yes carbs.

I will feel like a slug come Monday morning.

Question of the day:

You know at those pizza stores they sell that bread with butter and garlic and cut it into squares. My pizza store also sells little containers of cheese sauce with which to dip said bread. Herein lies the problem. How to get the two inch bread into the 1 1/2 inch cheese container.

(hint: it involves nibbling corners of bread)

Brilliant new way to get the dogs to come

I have discovered the cure for cancer!

No not really but something almost as good. I've discovered a way to get Bobo and Meja to come back to the house when they've trolloped after Alfie or a leaf or whatever has moved them to beat it and not come when I call.

Apparently I am a very loud sneezer. Apparent to Bobo and Meja anyway. Whenever I sneeze they come immediately into whatever room I'm in usually with very concerned expressions on their faces.

Well this morning I let them outside out back and then went to take care of my own business (ya know). This is our normal routine. I leave the door open and they make their way back in the house. But not this morning. I get to the back door and no Bobo or Meja anywhere in site. This is very odd because Bobo NEVER wanders off. Scaredy cat remember.

Well it seems as though the bad sister had led him astray. I call and call and call some more. No dogs. Then the light bulb goes off. I fake sneezed. Then I see those crazy puppies at the very back of the yard across the pond running like mad toward the house. Probably a 1/4 mile away.

All I could think of after the pat on my back and a 'you're brilliant' was 'it's a good thing for you dogs this worked because if I'd had to get dressed and come after you, well I'd a...'

There're two morals to this story:

It seems as though spring has sprung up with some yummy scents and I'm gonna have to be more careful watching the pups.

I wonder if Guiness has a Loudest Sneeze category?

Bullet points for your pleasure

Because I got nuttin I'm giving you bullet points. Your welcome.

  • I'm going to have fasting glucose bloodwork this morning. Because I need to have diabetes too!!!

  • It's supposed to be 61 today. Yeah. We're going to Flower's house and the dogs are GOING to get in the car, oh yes you are Meja. There's a park next to her house and her daughter Charly maybe will take them there to play.

  • I think I'm going to go buy a hanging flowering plant today. Something to look forward to ya know.

  • I am going to stop being such a gloomy gus.

  • Bobo and Meja saved my life. It's time I started acting like a better mommy. Get up damn it mommy. Ok Bobo and Meja jeez stop yellin at mommy.

  • I'm so glad spring is starting to sprung in Michigan. I'm thinking of asking my lanload if he knows someone that'll put a deck on the back of my house. Then I'll just bask in the sun on the deck.

The day I stop whining and Bobo starts

Meja yelled at me today. I had a bone I was happily chewing on and she growled at me like I was a commoner! The nerve. Mommy had to come in and yell at her. I think she said a bad word like truck, I don't know.

All's I know is Meja stopped yellin and I got my bone back.

Getcha own bone, I'm king of this here mountain...

From Bobo the Sharpei puppy

In other breaking news: It's colder than a well diggers ass here, 19. (How cold is a well diggers ass you might ask? <19

More whining

It's been raining for 5 days AND it's cold. WTF? The pups have cabin fever and we live in a 650 sq ft house. We play chase but it's once around the kitchen and I'm out of breath. I keep saying 'that's why you have a brother/sister, so you have someone to play with.' They look at me like I'm crazy but what's new?
The sun is supposed to shine tomorrow. Walkies yeah!!!

Uncle Ron and his girl Meja

I'd like to go walkies now...

Warmth brings rain

Oh come on... I asked for some warmth for relief from this winter of hell and what did I get? Rain! It's been raining for three days. And the delicate flowers, Bobo and Meja DO NOT like to get their persons wet. So potty breaks have been exciting and almost non existent. Relief will come relief will come relief will come.

There's nothing like spring, summer and fall in Michigan. It's really a glorious wonderland. It's just taking a damn long time getting here.

I'm feeling better and looking forward to walkies with the pups again. I'll do a post on healthy Pam soon.

When we lived in Florida I lived with my sister and her boyfriend (also Meja's boyfriend!). The puppies love love love Chris and Ron. If anything were to happen to me plans are in place for them to come for the pups. My heart always breaks when I hear stories about dogs that are left behind when their people go to heaven. So please not to worry.

Warmth come

We are all so tired of this cold and snow. What was I thinking moving back here from Florida? Oh yeah I hated Florida, but it was warm.

The pups have cabin fever too. They've been running around like coo coo heads trying to expend some energy.

Me, I had a transfusion a couple days ago and will be Superwoman soon. We'll get out and do more walkies, everyone will feel better.

Patiently waiting for the walkies to commence!

I've been kind of at a loss lately what to write. Anyone have any questions?

Inquiring Bobo's want to know.
